Your Liquid Battery

I remember the first time someone told me that our bodies were made up of 93% water.

I was a little embarrassed. Was that all we were? Just a bunch of water sloshing around with some organs thrown in? It didn’t sound particularly strong or energetic, and I was a bit surprised how we were performing so well. With so much water in the mix, how were we even holding up our skeletal frames, let alone pumping massive amounts of blood through our heart?

When I learned how water drives nearly every bodily process, I realized that the most important water wasn’t in my Stanley cup. Don’t get me wrong. Hydration – and the right kind – is important.  But there’s more to the story.  In fact, I learned that the most important water is not the water we drink, but the actions of a water network in our body that creates a massive battery full of usable potential energy that drives every action in our body.

Let’s take a Squint.

What’s Exclusion Zone Water?

Thanks to an amazing Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Washington – named Gerald Pollack – we now know the water in our cells is nothing like the water in our glass. We create a water inside of us that is gel-like (kind of similar to the substance when you break an aloe leaf open). This gel-like water is considered the 4th phase of water (not liquid, solid or gas) and has a liquid crystalline structure.  This structure is key to our body’s ability to absorb light.

What we’ve now learned is that Inside each and every cell in the human body is a process taking place where water is being structured into something called Exclusion Zone (EZ) water. And, if you want energy, you want to make lots of this kind of water.

Boujee Water?

No, it’s not like Evian or Voss. It’s called  “exclusion zone” water because of how and where the water structures itself. “Exclusion,” in this case, simply means that some particles are kept out.  The positive and negative charges are separated, excluded from each other.

The exclusion process happens at the biologic surfaces in our body that love water. These hydrophilic (water-loving) surfaces are everywhere: inside the cell, blood plasma, blood vessels, arteries, cerebral spinal fluid (CSF), collagen – they all have hydrophilic (water-loving) surfaces where the separation of charges takes place.

So the water inside our body finds these surfaces that love it and the exclusion or structuring process happens there.  The H2O breaks up: the H’s (positively charged protons) are excluded and the O’s (negatively charged electrons) stick around. The separation of charge between the negatively charged structured water and the positively charged proton zone creates a battery. This structured water network is a massive battery full of usable potential energy for our bodies to use.

Just water alone gives us this energy?

No. Our bodies harness this potential EZ water energy with—you guessed it—light. In fact, our Exclusion Zone (EZ) water has the amazing ability to trap, store and use the frequency and information from light to create a larger and larger “exclusion zone” water. We literally run on the electrical energy that is created when light informs our water networks. This probably explains why we are 93% water – perfectly designed to capture as much light as possible, to create as much energy as possible.  The name of the game is energy over inflammation, and water and sun – working together – are the key to this energy.

So, to review… The sun informs our structured water and our structured water makes the sun usable. With the addition of infrared light, our “exclusion zone” (EZ) forms and expands in size. More infrared light means a bigger exclusion zone, creating more negative/positive charge which creates more potential energy.  And, when UV light is added, the water is “energized” and millions of free electrons are created. It’s like an electrically-charged party going on inside of our body.

A Sun and Water Party?

Yes!  Sun and water dance together to make this all work.  When sun is absorbed through our eyes and skin, our water networks (that whole 93% water situation) are created and expanded into larger and larger batteries.  It’s our energy source!  Our bodies love electrons and negative charge in particular.  The interior of every cell has a “net negative charge” that must be maintained for optimum cellular function.  This charge is the result of adequate EZ water inside the cell, energized by the sun. If you want to have the energy to party and dance all night, you want to be making a lot of EZ water.

If you want to have the energy to party and dance all night, you want to be making a lot of EZ water. Our blood vessels (arteries, veins)—even our DNA—all have an exclusion zone of water around them. It’s really like a “smart barrier” that allows us to capture light and create the energy we need to keep our blood flowing.

How can you get “in the zone”?

If you like hanging out with friends in the great outdoors, you’ll find it easy to get in the zone.  Things to do to increase your exclusion zone battery?

Drink natural spring water. Avoid fluoridated water.
Get sunshine (infrared and UV light). Infrared light (present dawn to dusk) builds EZ water.  UV “energizes” EZ water and creates millions of free electrons.
Ground. Negative charge (from the Earth) gathers electrons and helps us build EZ water.

We will be taking a further Squint at the dynamics of water in upcoming blogs.  We will explore topics like hydration and considering why we are drinking more and more water but feeling more and more dehydrated? In the meantime, get outside and get in the zone!!
